we decided it was time for jossy to move out of the crib and into a bed!
the original plan was to change the crib into a bed by taking the front piece off. unfortunatey, we bought a crib that was a bit more complicated and we needed an extra piece. andre had taken the whole crib apart before we realized this and had to leave for work before we could figure it all out. i looked for the piece for the crib, but it cost too much money! i had the brilliant idea to put tink on a regular mattress and joss in tink's bed. luckily, a friend had an extra mattress she was not using and let us use. joss in alexa's toddler bed and alexa was on the crib mattress on the floor. very ghetto! this is what we looked like the first night:
i was a bit apprehensive about jossy staying in her bed. when we moved alexa in to a bed (at 16 months) she never got out...still won't unless we tell her she can. but i know that my 2 kids are SOO different. i made sure jossy was nice and tired when i put her to bed. we told her to stay in bed and not get up. i put the baby monitor in the room so i could hear if she got out. then i heard alexa telling jossy to get back in bed. it took 3 times(alexa told her to go to bed all 3 times!) and she slept! yea! triumph!

Wow...it's kind of sad to see them getting older like that huh...but exciting and fun at the same time. Such a mixture of emotions. :)
i havent been on this blog in SO LONG. Im amazed that tink would give up her bed(for a mattress! lol) so easily... good job alexa :) and congratulations jossy on your first big girl bed lol
