anyone heard of the book 'red moon rising'? it is an awesome book about guys from england who launched a 24/7 prayer movement with youth. it is a great, inspiring book if you have time....
anyway, god really used it to stir our hearts to pray. there is a vision statement in it that breaks your heart (it forces you to look at your true condition and realize how far you are from the life god wants you to live) and challenges and inspires you to more.
starting in the month of october we are starting a once a month 24 hour prayer 'rally' that ends with our uprising meeting. we are so excited! we are also taking the balcony of the kingdom life center and turning into our own prayer room.

on a family note: our kids are so funny and already have 'prayer personalities' or preferences. alexa is a name it and claim it type...she doesn't need a long drawn out prayer just a 'in jesus name' or 'healed in the name of jesus'. she often will just blurt it out if someone gets hurt. joss is more of an intercessor she goes on and on and on and on. too funny, but awesome!
