snow days 1 and 2

it finally stopped snowing an hour or so ago. wow, it was a lot of snow! i, of course, did not remember to take a lot of pictures...
alexa started out her friday with a ballet party (at ballet class) while jossy and i headed over to atomic to have a hot chocolate. it is a lot of fun to be able to spend time with just her. it is amazing how much more she tries to talk and communicate. she drank her hot chocolate with a spoon...

it really takes a lot of work to get the girls read to go outside...


.i thought it was really miserable...



we spent the evening making cookies, watching movies and eating popcorn!
in the morning andre and the girls made banana, chocolate chip waffles (or awfuls as alexa calls them!). we spent the morning relaxing.
then we took the girls to grandma and grandpa and went to the mall to finish our shopping...it was so crowded! but we finished quickly and got out of there.
it was a blessing to get snowed in together!
