the eggnog cranberry muffins are for dre...since he drinks about 20 gallons of eggnog during the christmas season. the cookies are chocolate crinkles....delicious!

i pride myself on the fact that my kids rarely get sick, and when they do they get over it so quickly. that doesn't seem to be the case lately. so, in order to make myself fell better i blame my kids constant sickness, runny noses, etc on the fact that alexa is now in school and getting germs from other kids. sounds good, right?!?!?

well we were with some friends last week and they had strep, but did not know it. when i woke up yesterday i felt terrible and decided to get checked out at the minute clinic. i had to be all brave (the kids were watching) and get a throat culture and i indeed had strep. so, the kids and i went straight to the pediatrician and even though they were symptom free, they also had strep. so, andre came home and came to my rescue.

now i am trying my hardest to feel better because we are seeing the CELTICS tonight!

well, we did it! terrible, terrible, terrible!
On the way to the dentist (i ended up being the one to take her) i started talking to her about how there are 2 reasons to go to the dentist...cleaning and work. she would be getting work. as i am explaining that it will feel like a shot then she won't feel anything tears starting streaming down her face. We stopped at walgreens and she got to choose whatever candy she wanted. i was not thinking at the time that she would not be able to eat it after...oops. so, we were getting out of the car at the dentist and she asked for prayer. what do you pray!?!? you know it's gonna hurt! they called us in the room and i laid in the chair with her in my lap and the dentist explained what she was going to do.
they did the numbing cream then the shot. wow, she can scream! we waited about 5 minutes and go some more shots and she screamed again. then the dentist starting wiggling them and she was screaming that she could feel it, so more shots. the dentist grabbed the pliers and just pulled them right out. there was more screaming then we left!
this morning she did say that it did not hurt after the first 'pinch' but she thought it was going to so she screamed....you know just in case ;)
so, andre felt great compassion and gave her 5 dollars!
\today, she is very excited to be sooo big and not have her front two teeth!

alexa has been complaining the last few days about her teeth hurting. i kept telling her i'd look, but kept forgetting. so today while brushing teeth she said they hurt. i looked and guess what i saw...2 permanent teeth growing behind her bottom front teeth! so weird and have never seen that before. she is very excited. i called the dentist and she said it was pretty normal and we are getting it all checked out on thursday.
alexa was so excited and has been telling everyone about it. the woman at the library asked her about the tooth fairy...she of course looked at the woman like she had 14 heads! so, we need to figure that out.

we have tink (who has informed me that she is to be called alexa at school), jossy wossy and now we have pants (that would be asher). he has gone through several nicknames and responds to many variations of his name (including, ashy, ash, a-man, mansers, asherman). but pants has stuck and it is just too hilarious to say pants and have him turn around and look at you!

while alexa was at school on friday, asher, joss and i went to barnes and noble. we started with a muffin then were off to the trains. when i was cleaning up the muffins asher started running away so i told him to stop and he did. there was an elderly lady sitting at the table next to him and said she was impressed and asked if i could do it again (?) i said sure and said a quick prayer asking god to help him obey this time. i told him to go (which he did) then to stop and thankfully he did. then we were on our way.

today jossy is 4!
she keeps telling us stories about when she was 3...too funny!
our little jossy came out of the womb spirited and continues to be so. we love her so much and she brings so much joy and laughter to our house. with alexa is school, she is the big'gest' sister at our house 3 days a week and loves it. she is growing so big and smart and she loves jesus with all her heart!

jossy we love you and are so proud of you. we could not imagine our life without you! you are so perfect at being who god created you to be!

i will leave you with a joss story!
andre and i really want to replace our bath tub with a nice, big, jetted one. i was telling the girls about it and told them we needed to pray and ask god for the money. joss said, 'let's pray now' so we did. when we were done she said, 'okay, we prayed now let's go buy it!'. that obviously led to another discussion!

summer recap!

we had an incredibly busy and fun summer. it is too bad it had to end :(

we started with a cowgirl party celebrating alexa's 5th birthday. we had so much fun and i even went away from the usual hamburger and hotdogs and made some pulled pork....yummm!

andre and i went to martha's vineyard for a whole 3 days and 2 nights and it was awesome. we called in 'mental freedom'! we so needed it and were glad to get back to the kiddos.
the 4th of july was fun! we were not sure if asher would enjoy the fireworks or be afraid. turned out he liked them and we had fun with friends and family.

this is how we spent most of our time...at the beach. i seriously do not know how people live far from the beach!

and there was the big recital!! it was jossy's first recital and alexa was on old pro-this being her second recital :)
they both did really great and absolutely love the spotlight....they get that from their father!

we also went strawberry picking, hayride and all. it was soooo hot!

mom mom mom came for a visit, which we always love! she celebrated her birthday while she was here.

jossy was silly a lot this summer!
asher learned to ride his bike (not the one in the picture). the poor kid only has a pink bike!
we had a great visit with the dykes. they came for the weekend and we all had a blast!

then there was storyland. we needed aunt cheryl to come to endeavor on that trip! so tiring but the kids loved it.

we also hung out with micah. 4 cousins watching tv!

yes, i now have a school-aged child! i cannot believe it!

we struggled, prayed, talked and everything else about what do about school for alexa. in the end we knew to send her to a small christian school.

we absolutely love it! we love the small community feel and know that the teachers are dedicated to the children. we even had the opportunity to visit a chapel and it was so awesome to see all the children worshipping jesus together!

we are so looking forward to all alexa is going to learn! she is currently studying creation and sorting!

i really am going to try and blog more!

my focus these days is to teach the girls about knowing jesus personally and to give them their own experiences with the presence of god. they are in god's presence a lot...but not always actively. i got my hands on an awesome teaching about raising prophetic children and it has challenged me!
i had been talking to the girls (more alexa) about the holy spirit and speaking in tongues. andre and i prayed for the girls to receive the gift of tongues but nothing really happened with it. so i just continued explaining it and talking about it and doing it for them to see.
one afternoon while the kids were napping i heard screaming so i ran upstairs and i heard the most incredible thing...alexa was speaking in tongues at the top of her lungs and worshipping. she was so excited and the best part was that i had nothing to do with it! jossy didn't quite have the same experience and i am not sure when it started but she also has a prayer language. cool, huh?
so, i am constantly asking god for ways to teach them to hear the voice of god and respond. we have had a few incredible and some really funny stories about god speaking to them that i'll share another day.

there are lots of happenings around our house these days.

i am no longer working (outside of the house) which i am *very* happy about! there was grace for it for the 6 weeks i did it...but i really missed everyone!

i am no longer nursing asher...praise god! never been a fan of it, but did it. asher, however, is not at all happy and is currently working through his feelings :)

we are also praying about what to do with alexa for kindergarten in the fall! i cannot believe we are here already....time flies! one thing i have learned is that opinions are opinions. things i said that i'd never do, i have done! we are praying about the best plan for tinky.

in more exciting news i am going to be an aunt again...shout out to baby badolato who is A BOY! very exciting.

i am soo against magic. mention magic in front of the girls and they will give you an ear full. alexa has always been very good about letting me know if something comes on tv that is about magic...then there's jossy. she would say, 'alexa, don't tell mom.' so after many lectures on magic and the only thing we believe is in the supernatural (jesus stuff) jossy finally got it. we were in the disney store at the mall last week and on the speaker was a woman talking about why she loved disney....so she said something about magic. when she did jossy froze and said, 'mom she said magic. we have to leave." ha ha ha. i tried to explain that it was okay for us to stay because there was no magic happening. too funny.

asher is now 6 months old!

what an awesome kid. i often wonder what we ever did without him!

we went to the doctor last week and he came in at 18lbs and 26.75 inches. (my kids just seem to get fatter and fatter!) he continues to sleep like champ and loves eating these days. he can tell when we are eating and does not like being excluded. he is not so interested in nursing...he wants FOOD! it is so fun to start to see a little personality. i think he is going to be like his dad.

my piuctures are not in the correct order...but here we go! this is our visit to ephrata to visit andre's family. they had not met asher man. we went to the udder choice for lunch...YUM! we were very proud of the girls for being so sweet to everyone they saw!

we also went to visit aunt jeanie at her job

we met up with jim and laura at the beginning of vacation. due to circumstances beyongd our control...and the control of vinegar we went back to west chester half way through. here we are at a farm that i cannot remember the name of.

after an insane weekend, we had a chill sunday evening. we have been trying to get to rockport for their outdoor concerts since june...we finally made it! so, here we are relaxing. the kids loved it and danced and ran around the whole time. alexa made some friends and tried to learn to do a cartwheel. it is so funny to see her be *social*

alexa has been asking to camp in the yard for weeks (maybe months). andre decided that last night would be the night! i had my doubts they would sleep. we hit major traffic coming back from rockport and by the time everyone was in the tent it was 9:30. when i brushed my teeth at 10:30 i looked out the window and saw the flashlight shining all around. i went to sleep and around 11 andre came in with jossy and she slept in her bed. alexa and dre slept out all night!

there is this crazy show on tv called 'i didn't know i was pregnant'. hard to believe. andre hates it, but i find it sooo interesting. really, how could you not tell?!?!? and most of these people have had children before 'they didn't know they were pregnant'. since i am a person who gets very kind of pain and ailment when i pregnant i just don't get it...

i was driving home the other day with the children and alexa got me...good.
she was telling a story and said 'mom, i was freaking out'. in my head i was appalled! i asked her where she heard that and she replied, 'you mom'. (oops!) i told her that i did not think i said that, to which she replied, 'mom, you say that like every day'. (oops again) then i firmly told her that girls HER AGE shouldn't say that. good thing that's as bad as my language gets!

i am still here! we are just busy doing nothing this summer! here are some new pics...there are none of alexa because she hasn't really felt like getting her picture taken lately???

we had a campfire in our backyard last week and the mosquito's had 'buffet jossy' for dinner. poor kid! she had 35 bites, 12 of them being on her face. people were asking if she had chickenpox.

i *finally* feel that the fog of a new baby and readjustment has rolled---
anyone ever experience mush brain? well, i think it gets worse with each child and stays around longer with each one! anyway, i am feeling much more on top of my game and feeling like i am accomplishing things (beyond showering and eating) daily. there were many days when andre would come home from work when i would say all i accomplished today was showering and folding a load of laundry (or some other tiny task). i now have the beach and yes the GROCERY STORE down! tink just came to me with a swollen eye...gotta run!

i very rarely get deep on this blog...but here it goes...
i went to my mom's grave for the first time in about 3 years on saturday. for no reason, i was driving to the uprising by myself and just decided to go. there is no real reason that i haven't gone...just that she's not there and oh it makes me cry (something i HATE to do). i drove up to the plot and got out of the car and that is exactly what i started to do. i quickly got back in the car and went on my way. it is only tonight that i have been alone, uninterrupted in the quiet that i realized how my grieving is different. instead of just missing her (which i still do) and all the things that you go through when a death is recent i began to mourn the present and mostly the future. i will never have an adult relationship with my mom and she doesn't see who i am now or who i am going to be. most importantly i have 3 children she will never know (in this life) and who will never know her. i hate that. i hate that her voice is getting harder to hear and her face harder to see...

over the past month (give or take) alexa has decided to change her name. this week it is frostina. she comes up with some interesting name...the names of her children should be VERY interesting. when alexa first came to me and told me she wanted me to start calling her a new name (can't remember what it was) i told her that i liked the name alexa and i thought it was a great name...after all her dad and i gave it to her. she then told me, 'alexa is useless mom'.

tomorrow am our volvo will belong to another family! we have been talking about a new car for a while...3 carseats really does not work...and when we put the car on craigslist it sold immediately! we are not sure what car we are actually going to have (it is between 2 vans) it is a (gasp) minivan! everyone please keep your 'i told you so' to yourself and be sensitive to the pain and deep turmoil that i am experiencing. i thought i'd make it to 30 before getting to this point ;)

it was a great show yesterday (ha ha!). it is always funny to watch little kids either forget what to do or to do whatever they want. anyway, alexa did great! she was even one step ahead of the teacher. her 'solo' was heavily influenced by worshipping at church.

she said a lot of funny things but here are the highlights
'i think everyone brought me flowers because they very love me and i did a very good job'
when asked her favorite part she said, ' my favorite part was when they applaused me and the flowers'
pop went into the wrong entrance before the recital began and when alexa saw him she said, 'pop. go upstairs and wait for me i will be on stage 2' (there was only one stage)

as of yesterday asher is no longer a newborn! very sad...but i will not go there.
we decided (or andre decided) to give asher the experience that every 3 month old needs...his first ride down the slide! he was not too impressed. asher man is also officially sleeping through the night (i'm talking 10-12 hours!). however, this does not mean (as i tell andre) that i am not exhausted. a week or so does not make up for three months or the sheer exhaustion that having 3 little ones brings :) you know, just so he knows!

i've been having a little trouble getting these 10 extra pounds off. i have always been good about disciplining myself...but not this time. i just cannot stop eating. no fun. anyway, here are some pics of decorating cupcakes for family dinner.(micah couldn't control himself either!)

anyway, he continues to be a great baby. except for right now when he is supposed to be sleeping but he is CRYING! he is getting big and is SO strong. he even rolled over this week. did i mention his hair rocks!!

we always have something 'new' going on around here. the girls had decided ( a month or so ago) that it was more fun to talk then to take naps! after doing all we could do to get them to sleep we gave up! that is not at all like me, but this was TOO big of a negative situation. so, we started putting alexa in our bed and everyone went back to their 3 hour naps (thank god!!!). then, jossy realized just how special it is to sleep in our bed and decided she needed a turn...we then went on a rotation (everything has to be fair!). then, it was no longer enough to do something special every other day...so...joss decided she wanted to nap in alexa's bed...since jossy slept in her bed alexa decided to sleep in jossy's bed! craziness!!! but at least we are all sleeping in the afternoon. oh, and asher doesn't know better at this point so he sleeps in his crib.

this incident did not happen at home and i didn't have my camera!

we got called back to the nursery last night (at church) and jossy had been inconsolable for 20 minutes after a tumble. the workers thought her wrist might be sprained. so, andre and i checked it out and she was so unhappy! we even offered her a cupcake to move it and she declined! we decided to take her to the hospital. turns out she dislocated her elbow. the radiologist popped it into place while doing xrays and then she was fine. she was a real trooper.
on the way home andre and i looked at each other and said, 'thank god it was joss and not alexa'.

we had a fun day yesterday. alexa asked to be referred to as 'the birthday girl' all day. at church she told just about everyone it was her birthday. it was really fun to see her so excited! joss, on the other hand, had a hard time not getting any birthday attention. after alexa would announce her birthday joss would promptly say it was NOT her birthday and that her bday is in september. she was a good sport!

i know everyone is dying to know asher's stats ( we went to the doctor yesterday)---well you don't have to wait any longer--- he is 12.8 lbs and 23 and 3/4 inches. it is always a little stressful and a whole lot of work when i have to take all 3 to the office by myself.

asher is seriously ticklish and andre got some pics of it...it was so funny he puked!

asher turned 2 months this weekend! we are a little sad to see him growing so fast! i am a little behind on posting due to our extremely busy weekend. i had 2 great days of pampering and even got my very own rondo shirt!

jossy. we have been quite busy with her lately. we have been doing speech evaluations and doctors appointments to rule out some reasons she is having difficulty with articulating her words. we do know that she has good hearing (thank you jesus!) but are still working hard with her to figure out what is going on and how to help her.

there aren't quite the right words to describe how special she is :)

here is our little guy sleeping...he is still doing a whole lot of that! he continues to do great at night!!(only waking up once) potty training. one of my least favorite parts of parenting! joss is doing great! after getting through some pooping issues she is almost always in underwear. when we go out for extended periods we are still using pull ups. it is really hard to RUN to a bathroom (which you have to do...her foresight isn't too great yet) with 3 kids!

at the beach. i think we (angela and i) were a bit ambitious with this one. we went with 6 kids (ages 7 weeks to 3). we had a friend give us a hand, but it was still a lot. that is them in the water

well my computer is broken and i lost lots of pictures :( that is why i don't have any for you.
but here is what life is like in the ole ebersole house

jossy has decided that she is done with diapers. she put hers in the attic, gave her wipes and butt cream to asher and has been in underwear since monday. only have had a few accidents. we have only left the house to play outside (in the yard) and to grandma's house because i am pretty nervous about accidents in public! (especially while toting 3 kids around). we are very proud of her!

asher is on a fabulous schedule and is sleeping great at night (after a 3 day interruption where he did terrible). he apparently is like me and thrives on a schedule ;) he is now smiling!!!

alexa is busy planning her gardening/flower birthday party. we have made her choose a theme and stick to it. she pretty much invites everyone she sees/meets/knows.

i am finishing up all of the baked goods from andre's party...andre is fasting so i am taking care of the job myself. after this i will be dieting. seriously, what is the number of cupcakes and cookies you can eat without being out of control?!?! we have also switched to 2% milk after i had my 6 week check up and saw my weight. (i could never give up chocolate milk). i will even be busting out the work out videos next week.

andre turned 30 yesterday and he is pretty much the same as he was on tuesday.

i need to go and get out of the house....
