so we never set out to have a nickname for alexa that would take over her existing name. stinky to stink to tink...who would have thought that tink would be the perfect nickname? it is a great one. she responded to it before she responded to alexa. so how do you go about creating a nickname for baby 2?? we don't know. we have had lots of advice, but nothing seems to fit. we will let you know when we find that *perfect* nickname.
on to something else.....
one of alexa's favorite thing to do these days is pray. it is really funny. she holds your hand, bows her head, and a few seconds later says amen. tuesday her and anne were in prayer a lot. so i took this opportunity to begin to show her that you don't just pray for food. there is lots to pray for and how it is part of your everyday life. obedience and patience is what we are really working on these days. so we have been taking time to pray when she is struggling (he he) with these things. she is so into it! i was asking her to leave the christmas tree alone the other day and she bowed her head and said amen! how great!
all this parenting stuff is getting tougher, but we love every minute (okay not every) minute of it!

That's awesome too. I don't think we've ever done that...not in the moment anyway. We need to get Grady and Hadley to praying when they "struggle"...they would be some praying fools. :)
