2 major things going on around here 1) getting ready for vacation and 2) lots of discipline.

i have made my packing list and have determined to leave a clean house behind (especially if i want someone to stay here...which i do sara!) but lack of motivation of keeping me from this! just can't seem to get anything done. i think the task of packing for two kids (and andre!) plus cleaning seems so overwhelming. anyway, whatever...

on to discipline. i just do not know what has gotten into alexa. that girl has a major attitude! we were dealing with the *manifestations* of the attitude (making noises, crying, pouting, whining, etc) and it was working to a certain extent. those little arms have learned not to cross when she is upset!! so, the other morning i was reading my bible and found proverbs 19:18 "discipline your son, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to his death.' i have read this before but it really made everything 'make sense' . so we are now dealing with the rebellion in her heart. so today is another day of understanding that dealing with the same thing over and over again (and not stopping until it is settled) is my part/responsibility. i do not want to be accountable for letting things slide and feeding the selfish nature.

anyway, just my thoughts for the day!
