pop's birthday

thankfully, december is not as busy in terms of birthdays as november is.
tomorrow is my dad's birthday, but we celebrated on sunday. alexa feels entitled to part of blowing out every one's candles.

this set of pictures is from birthday day #2. man i ate a lot of good food this weekend! we went out with dad and gwen friday night. alexa asked everyday if we were having cake :)





yumm..then the cheesecake factory! godiva chocolate cheesecake is the best ever.

i got my first ever facial yesterday. it was really nice!
i feel so soft and pretty :)
then i was off to get my hair done...which i do not really want to talk about. all i will say is my hairdresser moved to another country, and i tried a new one.
then off to family meal with the ebersole's.
good fun! the kids helped to make and decorate the cake. it was a good night.

and the festivities begin....

anyone who has known me for a while knows that my birthday is a big deal!
i have always had a party, had countdowns, and endlessly annoyed people about it. well that all changed a few years ago when andre made fun of me (a lot) in front of a bunch of people about how much i liked my birthday. so right there and then i decided not to make a big...or even a little...deal about it.
since andre feels (and is) responsible for that he has tried to make it up to me.
so, tonight he took the girls shopping for my birthday (the good part for me is being by myself).
thursday will be a family meal where pam will make me whatever i want...
friday all i know is i am going somewhere by myself
saturday i get to sleep as long as want...and the cheesecake factory and something that night...
i feel like i am always doing stuff for everyone else...things i don't even want to do(sometimes) and now dre is doing stuff for me AND i don't have to do all that stuff for other people....A BREAK! a few days of things that are different and thinks to look forward to, and things that let me know that i am appreciated.

it seems like we are celebrating birthdays every week. we went to danny birthday party on saturday night. he had a sticky bun cake.


aunt cheryl sent a bag of lollipops to the kids. w e didn't realize we gave joss a sour apple. anyway, this is them eating them.
