gingerbread house

****i will start by letting everyone know that our family is in the salem evening news..Peabody section today***


as you may remember, last year we had a tough time with our gingerbread house. after being inspired by a special on gingerbread houses (we are really into the food network) today our house came out beautifully!

i am already beginning to feel the effects of the holiday season in my jeans. man, i haven't even been to a party yet and i have eaten too much!
in january, we are doing a 21 day fast (the ultimate fast.,..i will talk about that at another time)which makes me feel better about dropping the xtra pounds i will put on!

here are a few pics from our photo shoot with danny....i think we were *all* having an off day ;) the kids acted like they had never seen a camera....and danny photoshpped my hair all weird!

we always get our tree a few days after thanksgiving. we had matt around to help. the kids were so excited and into it! here are a few pics





we had a great thanksgiving! good food..including a reduction ;)
i always enjoy the reflecting part of thanksgiving and although my life is nothing like i thought it would be, i have so much to be thankful for.
god has me on such an amazing journey...i truly do not understand how people live their lives without having purpose...true, eternal purpose. although i am thankful for family and things....i am most thankful that i am not only redeemed, but that i am redeemed because i am part of something big. i do not want to waste all that god has given to me....
